HMRC is encouraging the completion of its Questionnaire to ensure that businesses that move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland do not miss the opportunity to register for further updates regarding the Northern Ireland Protocol.

The questionnaire should be completed and forwarded to hmrctraders@hmrc.gov.uk to enable businesses to help HMRC and to keep up to date with the changes due to the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

At the end of the transition period, when the Northern Ireland Protocol comes into force, there will be changes to the way goods move between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Businesses affected will be those that answer yes to any of the questions below:

  • Do you move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland?
  • Do you move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland on behalf of someone?
  • Are you based in Northern Ireland and currently receive goods from Great Britain?
  • Do you send parcels between Great Britain and Northern Ireland using Royal Mail or an express operator?
