We were delighted to host our inaugural Dains Culture Day in September, bringing together more than 140 colleagues to celebrate the different cultures and traditions that shape who we are.

Hosted by our Race, Ethnicity and Religion Employee Resource Group, celebrations took place across several offices including Birmingham, Nottingham and Derby - with colleagues coming together to enjoy food from around the world, music, languages, and shared stories. For those working remotely, we also opened a virtual space so everyone could join in and connect.

We were proud to welcome Sue Johnson of Odgers as our guest speaker, who delivered a powerful and thought-provoking session on cultural diversity, inclusion, and the importance of standing together to advocate for equity.

Sue Johnson said: “Very excited to have been invited to speak at Dains’ first Culture Celebration - it was great to share insights and stories, from food to workplace experiences. It’s clear that diversity is a fundamental topic at Dains and high on the agenda.”

Androulla Soteri, Chief People Office at Dains said: “Our first Culture Day was such a special moment. It brought to life the many stories, backgrounds and experiences that make Dains the vibrant, values-driven business it is today. By celebrating our differences, we strengthen our connections - to each other, to our clients, and to the communities we serve.”

This event forms part of our wider programme of activity led by our Employee Resource Groups, who champion Dains’ Inclusive Impact approach and our commitment to creating a workplace that truly represents and celebrates the diversity of our people, clients and communities.
