Diversity at Dains.

At Dains Accountants, diversity is more than a commitment, it's a driving force behind our innovation and success. We believe in creating a workplace that reflects the rich diversity of the communities we serve.

Our latest diversity statistics highlight our ongoing efforts to foster an inclusive environment where every individual is respected and valued. We are proud to share these insights as part of our dedication to continuous improvement and transparency as part of our Inclusive Impact strategy.

Inclusive Impact

Our people feel a strong sense of belonging and we are known for fostering inclusion.

We call our approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Inclusive Impact, focussing our commitment to driving meaningful action and lasting change that helps build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for everyone.

Although measurable improvements in diverse representation are important to our people and help us meet our targets, what matters most are the everyday experiences of those who identify with these communities. Gaining insight into their experiences and addressing barriers to personal and professional growth remain central to shaping our Inclusive Impact plan.

Spotlight on key findings from the 2025 survey

We are pleased to see that we have balanced gender representation in our workforce, with 56% being female and identify as a woman, and we are working to find ways to ensure equity is reflected in our gender pay gap data and leadership composition (see our most recent Gender Pay Gap report). With 41% of our people being under 35 years of age, this shows strong investment in the future generation of leaders, providing opportunities through our designated career pathways for our young professionals to grow with Dains.

This survey highlights a recognised need for us to continue to work to create inclusive and safe spaces for people from minority groups, so they feel their voice is heard in promoting diversity. We continue to work on breaking down any perceived barriers to success that can come from having a disability, mental health problem or neurodiversity, as we want our colleagues to feel they can be open about their experiences whilst in work.

The 2025 launch of our Employee Resource Groups (ERG) to lead on our Inclusive Impact strategy will provide representation to communities to ensure our policies, processes and culture at Dains are equitable for all.

We value the trust our people show in sharing their information with us. Their openness enables us to set meaningful targets and take informed action to drive progress.
