Dains Invests in SME and Healthcare Advisory Across Scotland with Senior Appointments

Dains Accountants has announced two senior promotions in Scotland as the firm advances its mission to be the leading advisory partner for private companies and SMEs across the UK & Ireland.

Lorna Logan – Director, Accounts Advisory
Based in Ayrshire and supporting owner-managed and growing SMEs across Scotland, Lorna is an ACCA-qualified Director within our Accounts & Advisory team and a senior point of contact for clients. She brings outcome-focused support and co-ordinates with colleagues across accounts, tax, audit and payroll so businesses receive a joined-up service when it matters. Drawing on our digital and cloud approach, Lorna helps teams adopt the right tools and insight to move confidently, from day-to-day operations to growth plans, because your success matters.

Laura Nicoll – Associate Director, Accounts Advisory
Part of Dains’ dedicated Healthcare Team in Ayrshire, led by Partner Stephen Bargh, Laura supports GP practices, independent clinics and care providers. She brings proactive, local advice shaped around the realities of general practice, rising costs, funding pressures and the complexities of NHS pensions/superannuation, so practice managers and GP partners gain clarity and confidence in financial decision-making.

As Associate Director, Laura is a direct, accessible contact for healthcare clients and coordinates with colleagues across tax, audit and payroll to deliver a joined-up service. What clients can expect: regular check-ins, clear direction when issues arise, and consistent delivery that helps teams focus on patient care, because your success matters.

Graeme Bryson, Regional Managing Partner for Scotland said: “I’m delighted to recognise Lorna and Laura’s progression. Their appointments enhance how we support owner-managed businesses and healthcare providers across Scotland, strengthening our ability to deliver sector-aware advice and consistent client outcomes as we pursue our ambition to be the leading SME advisory firm in the UK.”

Lorna Logan, Accounts Advisory Director said: "I’m honoured to step into this role at such a pivotal time. I believe accountancy is more than numbers, it’s about guiding businesses with clarity, confidence, and purpose. I’m excited to lead with integrity, inspire growth, and help our clients thrive in an ever-changing world."

Laura Nicoll, Accounts Advisory Associate Director said: “I’m proud to step into Associate Director. My priority is quality and consistency in delivery, so clients always have the information they need, when they need it. I’m looking forward to supporting the team’s development and making our processes even smoother for clients.”
