Generous staff have raised the cash over the past nine months by staging a series of fun activities and charity events to boost SIFA Fireside which supports homeless and vulnerable people in Birmingham.

Staff have joined forces to organise and take part in fundraising events such as the Birmingham Half Marathon, Tough Mudder Challenge and the Dains Cake Club to raise funds.

The team have also staged regular dress down days and supported SIFA Fireside with foodbank donations.

Fundraising for SIFA Fireside will continue until the end of March 2020 – which is the end of the Dains financial year.

Hoan Nguyen, Forensic Accountancy Senior Manager at Dains Birmingham, is thrilled with the amount raised so far.

Hoan said: “The Birmingham team have made a huge effort to support SIFA Fireside over the past nine months and we are delighted to have reached the £6,500 mark.

“SIFA Fireside is a charity on our doorstep which does an amazing amount of good work supporting the people of Birmingham who need our help the most."

SIFA Fireside enables homeless people in Birmingham to gain access to the support and vital supplies they need, enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives.

The charity’s mission is to reduce homelessness, increase social inclusion, increase life skills, improve health, improve employment potential and reduce offending.

Hoan added: “I’d like to say a big-thank you to everyone who has supported us with our fundraising efforts.

“As well as our office events and foodbank donations, many staff have given up their time voluntarily outside work to take part in the Birmingham Half Marathon and Tough Mudder Challenge which were both great events to be part of.”
