We care about our staff and delivering for our clients in equal measure.

As a business we understand that our employees are our biggest asset, and we strive to provide the best working environment from flexible working hours to a fantastic benefits scheme. We listen to our people and evolve to make Dains a great place to work.

We provide every member of the Dains team with the tools to deliver the very highest standards to clients and have a strong sense of culture.

Examples of things we have recently done together include:

Career Path

We want our people to have a clear line of sight on their future progression.

This is why we have developed Dains career paths, with an opportunity for employees to follow their natural pathway or a preference to take a different route in their accountancy career.

Our Values

The way we operate is set out in our DNA, and our values are based on Valued Relationships, Fairness, Working & Succeeding Together and Integrity which are the principles that we stand for as a firm and that we are committed to now and in the future.

These core values unite us as a collection of individuals and define what it is about Dains that makes people want to work with us and for us.

Inclusion and Diversity

Dains Accountants Limited is committed to encouraging inclusion, diversity and equality and eliminating unlawful discrimination within our firm.  Our aim is to be truly representative of all sections of society and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.

The firm, in providing services, is also committed against unlawful discrimination of clients or the public.

Choosing a firm to work for

We know that it’s not just about the benefits when picking an employer and you need to feel that ethically you have the same values.

Giving back to the community in which we live, and work is of paramount importance to the Partners and staff at Dains. We pride ourselves on our people focused values and are always aware of the impact that our business activities could have on the wider community. As a firm we want whatever we are doing to have only positive effects for our people, our clients and suppliers, our environment and our community. With that in mind, in 2006 we established “Dains in the Community” - a group tasked to develop innovative and exciting strategies to bring our corporate responsibility agenda to life and promote its importance to everyone within the firm.

We recognise that wellbeing and performance are linked, and improving our employees' ability to balance work and home life are important to us; that’s why we are committed to protecting their mental health and wellbeing.

Firm-wide policies and procedures are in place and we offer a free comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, specifically designed to give practical and emotional support that employees need for everyday life.

As part of our commitment to promoting staff health and wellbeing, we have a number of Mental Health First Aiders in the firm and have recently added brand new mental wellbeing content to our established Wellbeing Centre available on our internal intranet.
