Paul had an interesting start to his career where he originally trained as an organic chemist and was, for a brief period, one of Europe’s leading experts on chicken dung. Recognising that this may not be his ideal career, he left the laboratory and joined IBM where he worked in several outsourcing, project and technical roles in the UK, US and EMEA.
After leaving IBM he managed in-house IT services for a university, global delivery services for an international educational publisher and the supporting technology systems for a challenger bank before joining Dains in 2019. His current role is to look after anything that plugs into a wall socket and develop Dains’ future IT road map.
Out of work Paul is a keen walker, an avid reader and is currently acting as part-time punch-bag for his grandchildren. He has also recently developed a skill for defending the results of the Welsh rugby team.
