Mike worked for HMRC for 30 years providing help and advice in Customs, Excise and VAT matters. He has experience in dealing with goods classification, licencing customs procedure, customs duty, and customs entries as well as being a, Customs Officer, Excise Officer VAT inspector and VAT Enquiries Officer.
He worked for HMRC in the London area before transferring to Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and finishing his career in Derby before taking voluntary redundancy. Throughout his career with HMRC he was a trainer, specialising in Customs and Excise procedures as well as training staff in all areas of work undertaken by HMRC.
Outside work Mike walks his dog Flinty a working Cocker Spaniel and supports his grandchildren while they play hockey and swim for their local clubs.
