Andy has a wide range of experience in audit, accountancy and tax matters gained from training with a big 4 firm, and then with a local independent firm before joining Barringtons in 2001. He joined Dains in July 2022 on the acquisition of Barringtons.
His experience covers a variety of industry sectors and ranges from owner managed businesses including sole traders through to UK subsidiaries of overseas groups. More recently he has specialised in offering business advisory services including general business growth advice and tax planning. As a proactive tax accountant he has assisted clients to significantly reduce their tax liabilities.
His interests include playing badminton, taking part in water sports, particularly water-skiing, photography and watching most sports - supporter of Aston Villa. Andy enjoys foreign travel, especially North America and South East Asia, mixing his love of travelling and photography. Andy is a past Treasurer of Staffordshire Schools Badminton Association and currently Vice Chairman of Stafford Camera Club, having been Chairman for 15 years and holding other committee positions for over 30 years.
