 Heidi Webster

Heidi started her career at KPMG in Birmingham. She then moved from the Audit and Accountancy practice into Forensic Accounting on qualification as a Chartered Accountant. After spending many years working in this field for KPMG, Bentley Jennison and Craner & Co, she then went onto set up her own accountancy practice in 2007.

From this, Heidi managed a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and general tax support services to individuals and corporate clients across a range of industry sectors. She also acted as Finance Director for a London based entrepreneur, with business interests in London, the Midlands and Scotland, gaining invaluable hands-on experience of the operational and economic challenges facing many businesses.

Heidi then decided to return to public practice in Forensic Accounting, where she had a particular focus on valuations in matrimonial proceedings. However, her experience extends over other disciplines of Forensic Accounting including:

  • Fiscal valuations, such as valuing shares for HMRC recognised management incentive plans, such as Enterprise Management Incentives and Company Share Option plans and valuations of businesses for inheritance tax;
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes;
  • Warranty disputes; and
  • Commercial loss claims.

Heidi has joined the Dains Forensic Accounting team which delivers a wide range of forensic accounting services and specialises in civil and criminal arenas in the UK and overseas.

The team’s combined expertise spans over 50 years covering expert witness work, business valuations, matrimonial services, fraud and financial investigations, forensic insolvency, criminal and regulatory procedures and criminal confiscation.

Andrew Donaldson, Dains Forensic Accountancy Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Heidi to Forensic Accounting at Dains and look forward to her becoming an integral part of the team.  These are exciting times and adding Heidi’s experience to the team will be invaluable moving forward”
