Stomping through September for Safe & Sound

On Sunday 9th September, several members from our Burton and Derby offices will be joining a 33km (20.5 miles) ‘stomp’, taking in stunning sites and panoramic views across the beautiful Peak District.

The walk is to raise money for Safe & Sound Group, who are the Dains chosen charity for our Derby office this year. Since 2002, Safe & Sound have been tackling child sexual exploitation by providing high quality tailored one-to-one support to victims and young people at risk in Derby and Derbyshire. They work to make sure that individuals receive the support they need to move forward in their lives. This is the charity’s first ever fundraising walk, so we want to make it a huge success!

The Stomp

The team will take on a stunning 33km walk from Edale, across some of the most famous sites in the Dark Peak, including Kinder Scout, Mam Tor and the Hope Valley. Fortunately, the team will have knowledgeable and experienced guides with them throughout the stomp. This will help them to negotiate the breath-taking backdrop safely. Although this walk is a very challenging one, we have every faith that our team will complete it and raise some much-needed funds for this worthy charity.

Our September Stompers have an overall target of £1200, so please donate to this worthwhile cause via their ‘Just Giving’ page.
