Dains Derby Office Volunteer Day at Derwent Stepping Stones is a Great Success

Our Derby office stepped up on 7 March 2019 to volunteer at Derwent Stepping Stones a local based charity.

Derwent Stepping Stones is a community-based charity established in 1991 who have been externally assessed as offering high quality flexible, affordable childcare that responds to the needs of local families.

The Charity’s mission is “to help all individuals recognise their full potential and encourage them to be ambitious in achieving it”.

Dains helped by:

• Moving play equipment and children’s furniture between 3 Nurseries
• Taking old and broken play equipment to the tip
• Moving equipment within the Nursery
• Jet washing play areas to ensure they are safe for children who are crawling, and just walking
• Cleaning of communal areas and new training space

The Team said: “We had a great day helping Derwent Stepping Stones Nursery, who greatly appreciated our help clearing, cleaning, transferring equipment between sites and tidying.”
