Emma is a qualified chartered accountant with over 10 years’ “Big 4” experience as a forensic accountant. She has worked on a variety of disputes, financial misconduct investigations and other forensic accounting engagements across a wide variety of industry sectors, including retail, consumer products, manufacturing, construction/ infrastructure and the charities sector.

Her forensic experience includes loss of profits, breach of contract and share warranty claims, professional negligence, matrimonial disputes, misappropriation of funds/ expenses, asset tracing and bribery and corruption investigations.

Outside of work, Emma is passionate about her voluntary role as the Treasurer and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of The Pankhurst Trust (incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid), a charity with two diverse but complementary roles – The Pankhurst Centre houses a small museum where Emmeline Pankhurst, leader of the suffragette movement, lived in Manchester; and Manchester Women’s Aid, which provides support for women and children who have suffered domestic violence, by providing refuge and outreach services, thereby bringing the suffragette legacy of empowering women into the 21st century.

Emma is also Co-ordinator for the North West of England for the Fraud Advisory Panel, a voluntary role aimed at expanding the remit of the Panel in the region. This is a UK charity which aims to bring together fraud professionals from all sectors in order to improve fraud resilience across society and around the world.
