We are seeking a Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, to lead our learning initiatives across the Dains group. This role is hybrid and location agnostic.

You will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing all aspects of the learning and development function, including the creation and execution of engaging training programs and workshops designed to enhance employee performance and productivity.

Your Role as Learning & Development Manager

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programmes and learning resources that address the needs of the firm and align with our strategic goals

  • Deliver high-quality professional skills training and technical accounting training to employees at all levels within the organisation; technical knowledge can be in any one or more of Audit, Financial Reporting, Tax or Corporate Finance

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and utilise feedback to make continuous improvements

  • Oversee the management and content development for the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS). Prior experience with a LMS is desirable but can be substituted for practical and logical thinking, a commercial head and experience training in the accounting profession

  • Work closely with senior management and department heads to identify training needs and develop scalable solutions

  • Lead, mentor and manage the Training Coordinator, ensuring high performance and efficient program delivery

  • Plan and execute training roadshows, requiring the ability to travel and manage training logistics across multiple locations

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of training standards and best practices in the accounting industry, implementing new methods and technologies as appropriate

Attributes

  • ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Proven track record in designing and delivering engaging and effective training programmes. Applicants with experience teaching at institutions such as Kaplan, BPP or First Intuition will be prioritised

  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing teams, particularly in a learning and development context 

  • Adept at using modern educational technologies and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS). Prior experience with LMS is preferred, but not mandatory

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills

  • Robust understanding of the accounting industries standards and best practices
