Revenue and Customs Brief 43/2014

This replaces HMRC earlier Revenue and Customs Brief 06/2014 and it looks specifically at the reclaiming of VAT incurred on costs relating to the administration of and or management of the assets of a defined benefit pension scheme.

The Brief provides the possible opportunity for businesses that provide pension schemes for their employees to make a retrospective claim covering a period of four years, to reclaim VAT incurred on supplies of administration services received, where the business has not done so previously.
