Having trained at KPMG Birmingham, Heidi moved from the Audit and Accountancy practice into Forensic Accounting on qualification as a Chartered Accountant. She spent many years working in this field for KPMG, Bentley Jennison and Craner & Co before setting up her own accountancy practice in 2007.
Heidi managed a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and general tax support services to individuals and corporate clients across a range of industry sectors. She also acted as Finance Director for a London based entrepreneur, with business interests in London, the Midlands and Scotland, gaining invaluable hands on experience of the operational and economic challenges facing many businesses.
Returning to public practice in Forensic Accounting, Heidi has a particular focus on valuations in matrimonial proceedings. However, her experience extends over other disciplines of Forensic Accounting including:
- Fiscal valuations, such as valuing shares for HMRC recognised management incentive plans, such as Enterprise Management Incentives and Company Share Option plans and valuations of businesses for inheritance tax;
- Shareholder and partnership disputes;
- Warranty disputes; and
- Commercial loss claims.
Heidi is married to Mark and has two teenage children. Any free time is spent walking her springer spaniel Bradie and ‘watching’ a wide variety of different sports! For complete R&R, Heidi likes nothing better than spending time in Brixham with the family, eating fish and chips watching the fishing trawlers.
