Dains are delighted to announce the launch of their ‘2010 Corporate Relay’. The event will take place on Sunday 6th June and is held in association with the Great Midlands Fun Run, Sutton Coldfield. The event brings thousands of people together with the aim of having fun, achieving personal goals and uniting together to raise money for a charity of choice.
This year Dains are seeking teams of three people, each of whom will run approximately 2 .5 - 3 miles of the 8.5 mile course. The event is aimed at all abilities - runners, joggers or walkers and is an opportunity for local businesses to give back to the community they live and work in.
This year Dains has pledged its commitment to raise much needed funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. As an entrant you are encouraged to contribute towards the key objective of collecting sponsorship by either joining them in supporting their nominated charity or by nominating your own charity to support.
Richard McNeilly, Business Development Partner at the firm comments: “This is the third year that Dains has organised this worthwhile event as well as being one of the sponsors of the Great Midlands Fun Run. Last year the event raised £8000 for good causes across the UK and we are hoping this year will be bigger and better. We are urging businesses to get involved. The event always has a great atmosphere and it’s a fantastic way to bring the local business community together to pit their skills against one another whilst having an enjoyable day and doing something worthwhile for deserving charities.”
Pre and post race refreshments plus prize giving will be held in the Temple Bar, The Parade, Sutton Coldfield. If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please email: relay@dains.com or contact Louise Wadsworth on: 01332 826810.
