Dains win major audit contract for the Ricoh Arena...
Friday 10 July 2009

Dains has secured a major audit contract with one of the region’s leading multi-complex leisure facilities, the Ricoh Arena.

Dains has won the tender to act as auditors for Arena Coventry Ltd - who run and manage the Ricoh Arena - taking over from Deloittes, which has held the contract for several years.

With corporate offices at Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, Dains beat off competition from other leading national firms to win the tender for the work, which is due to start in July.

Set within a site covering more than 40 acres, the Ricoh Arena is a state-of-the-art conference, banqueting, exhibition hall, hotel, casino and sports facility. The £113 million multi-purpose complex has already won awards for its design and is not only home to Coventry City Football Club, but boasts amongst its other facilities, the 6,000 sq metre Jaguar Exhibition Hall which has hosted to a number of top concerts, and a conference and banqueting facility which is one of the largest column-free suites in the region.

Mark Hargate, Audit Director at Dains, commented: “We are delighted to have been chosen amid such tough competition and we look forward to contributing to the Ricoh Arena’s future successes."

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive at Ricoh Arena, said: "Mark and his team came across as highly professional. This, coupled with the fact that Dains offer a full range of services to businesses in the Midlands, made them a good fit.”
