- Dains recognised with a prestigious ‘Best Companies’ accreditation...
Wednesday 18 February 2009 -
Dains has been recognised with a prestigious Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ accreditation for the second year running. The awards form the biggest survey of workplace opinion in the UK.
The Best Companies Index (BCI) has taken over seven years to develop and has surveyed over one million employees across thousands of UK organisations, making it one of the most comprehensive and accurate gauges for this subject ever created. In 2008 alone, almost 200,000 employees completed surveys.
Chief Executive Spencer Wright, who attended the award ceremony in London, comments: “We are delighted to receive this accreditation. Our feedback clearly indicated that we have a passionate, team-orientated and highly motivated group of individuals within the organisation, who are in-turn, providing excellent levels of service to our clients. We are all extremely proud that Dains has achieved national recognition as one of the best companies to work for.”
As part of the survey companies are assessed by their employees across eight areas. These areas, or “factors”, cover company leadership, employee wellbeing, relationships with managers, relationships with colleagues, feelings towards your company, personal growth, fair dealing over pay and benefits, and the organisation’s record for giving something back to society.
Mike Castree, Human Resources Partner added: “This is a fantastic result for Dains. Our people are our greatest asset, because they are at the heart of all our services to clients. That is why it is so important to us to create an environment where people can flourish and their talents can grow. The firm has been expanding and developing rapidly in recent years and we are delighted that our staff have given us this vote of confidence through their feedback in the awards. We recognise that creating a great place to work is never a completed task but one that needs to continually evolve and develop.”
