In 2006, Dains in the Community was formed to support local communities, charitable causes and events. The partners, directors and staff support many events and are also involved in local initiatives within the local communities.
Dains in the Community aims to make a difference: internally locally, nationally and internationally.
Our primary objectives are to:-
- Take responsibility for the community
- Donate to and support charities that are important to employees and our clients
- Help to raise awareness
- To be a positive role model to other companies and an inspiration for them to follow

Dains have recently launched the 2010 Dains Corporate Relay which will take place on Sunday 6th June. The occasion is held in association with the Great Midlands Fun Run in Sutton Coldfield and brings thousands of people together with the aim of having fun, achieving personal goals and uniting together to raise money for a charity of choice.
This year we are seeking teams of three people, each of whom will run approximately 2.5 - 3.5 miles of the 8.5 mile course. The event is aimed at all abilities - runners, joggers or walkers and is an opportunity for local businesses to give back to the community we live and work in.
This year Dains in the Community has pledged it's commitment to raise much needed funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. As an entrant you are encouraged to contribute towards the key objective of collecting sponsorship by either joining us in supporting our nominated charity or by nominating your own charity to support. As a direct result of your endeavours, this financial support will directly improve the quality of life for those who live with physical, learning or emotional disability.
This is the third year that Dains has organised this worthwhile event as well as being one of the sponsors of the Great Midlands Fun Run. Last year the Dains Corporate Relay raised £8000 for good causes across the UK and we are hoping this year will be bigger and better. Pre and post race refreshments plus prize giving will be held in the Temple Bar, The Parade, Sutton Coldfield.
Entrance fee per team is £75 with all proceeds going to your nominated charity.
